The Journey Begins

Somewhere in between corporate blunders and growing weary of getting nowhere Amy and I decided that it might be time for a change in our lives. With very little holding us back we looked at going abroad somewhere, because it has been on our minds for quite some time. After much consideration and prayer we came across teaching English in Korea. It all happened so fast and in three days we will be leaving from Chicago for our big 14 hour flight. We both wanted to keep a blog so we can keep up with everyone at home and to give you a picture of what its like. I'll be posting and Amy will as well, to give you two perspectives. We appreciate everyones prayer and support in our journey to Korea.

Ben and Amy, We are thrilled for your adventure that lies ahead. Know that we love you and will be lifting you in prayer. This will be an exciting season in your life that will be filled with new friends, laughs, and maybe even some tears. Remember everyday that God is in control even when we are not. One passage that I have often survived by during uncertain times is:
Philippians 4:6-7
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Ben and Amy that is so exciting! I am glad I stumbled over this today and now Ash and I will definitely be praying for your time there. Hope the flight goes well and you establish a great little home in SK!
